Ever since the release of ChatGPT in November 2022, the internet has been ablaze with conversations about the possibility of AI web design tools.
Some tout its ability to breezily spit out website copy and suggest ideas for imagery as a way to streamline processes and free up designers for more cerebral, creative parts of their job. But others are more sceptical: AI-generated results can be biased, inaccurate, and even plagiarized.
How is AI used in web design?
Many web designers see Ai tools as creative assistants that can be helpful for routine operations and assist with daily web activities. Ai can be helpful in a lot of tasks that web designers face daily, like:
- Suggesting web design ideas
- Generating imagery
- Generating real copy
- Writing code
When used correctly, the primary objective of Ai tools is to improve the efficiency of the person who uses it. Artificial intelligence tools can make the design process more efficient, and free us up from routine operations, like writing realistic copy, to give us more time to experiment with design and find unconventional solutions.
So, how to UKWebb embrace Ai at the moment and how likely are you to receive our web services with a little Ai mixed in?
The answer to that it quite easy at the time we are writing this but the influence of Ai will only expand as time progresses.
As at July 2023, we do use Ai, particularly for our SEO work. It can save us many hours of work in assessing our client’s business trends and how best we can use key words and meta data, required by search engines to present your domain and business into the highest search engine rankings we can.
At the moment, it does not infringe into any of our basic design work, other than occasionally to produce that image which by conventional means, would either not be possible or may cost the client in copyright fees.
We will be carefully watching Ai’s progress and using it wisely when it will best improve the service we can provide to our clients, that’s about all we can say at the moment. If anything changes, we will let you know, right here!

After your website is completed we will give you Trial Web Hosting for 1 months so you will get 13 month’s service for the price of 12 months plus a domain email account and SSL Security for the 1 month Trial period with any web hosting agreement.
£7.80 domain fee applies to domains ending in “co.uk” or “org.uk” and some others - request details.
A word of caution to our Clients using our Website Design Service - UKWebb will design your website to your requirements but the content, that is both images and text, used in the Website is legally the responsibility of the Client and/or the Registrant of the domain name used. You should read and view the website content very carefully and ensure that such content is not copied without the usual consents. Any individual “Content” in the Website remains the property of the Client and/or the owner of the domain name and shall not be copied or used without such consent being obtained.
